A real highlight are the Bua Tong Fields in northern Mae Hong Son - a sea of Mexican sunflowers that only bloom in November. As one of the largest rice producers in the world, the region offers endless, picturesque fields. There are only a few rice fields in the south, but we discovered more and more rice fields on our road trip from Phuket to Chiang Mai - the first of which were in the Kanchanaburi and Ayutthaya regions. The most beautiful rice terraces and fields are clearly located in the north of Thailand. Places worth seeing include Pa Pong Piang in Doi Inthanon National Park, the fields under the Kho Ku So Bamboo Bridge in Pai and the rice fields near the To Tong Tae Bridge in Mae Hong Son. All these places offer you fantastic photo opportunities and prove that Thailand is much more than just a tropical vacation paradise. We take you to the most beautiful beaches in Thailand! There are countless islands, hidden bays and white sandy beaches in southern Thailand. Some are very hidden on a steep slope and can only be reached by an off-road shuttle (e.g. Paradise Beach or Nui Beach on Phuket - even the way to the beach is a real adventure here!) For families with children, spacious, gently sloping beaches such as the Karon Beach. But it's not just Phuket that offers beautiful beaches; you'll also find hidden gems and secluded beach paradises on other islands and on the mainland. Our absolute favorite beaches include Taling Ngam Beach on Koh Samui and Taa Toh Lagoon Beach on Koh Tao!

In predominantly Buddhist Thailand, there are more than 40,000 temples, all unique in their architectural style and interior decoration. The more elaborate, ornate and golden, the more magnificent their reputation! The ancient temples Wat Arun and Wat Pho and the gigantic plant of the Grand Palaceª in Bangkok belong on every Thailand bucket list. In the south we recommend the Wat Chalong temples on Phuket and the adventurous Tiger Cave Temple in Krabi. If you are traveling on the mainland, you should definitely stop at the Wat Tham Chaeng stop in Phetchaburi - here you can see an extraordinary colorful Naga sculpture that you can walk under. In the north, our favorites are the sparkling White Temple in Chiang Rai, the Twin pagodas in Doi Inthanon as well as the unique Floating Pagodas in the high mountains of Chiang Mai. In the ancient capitals of Ayutthaya and Sukhothai, you can discover countless temple ruins from the old kingdom. These include, for example, the impressive chedis of the Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Mahathatwhich houses the famous Buddha head entwined with tree roots.

Join us on the most beautiful hikes through Thailand! These are usually combined with breathtaking views, making the effort worthwhile. If you are traveling in the north in Doi Inthanon National Park, you should definitely visit the Kew Mae Pan Nature Trail should also be planned. On the southern island of Koh Lanta, we recommend a jungle hike through the National Park to a beautiful, unspoiled beach. On Koh Tao you can enjoy the adventurous John-Suwan Viewpoint climb (in the truest sense of the word).
