Explore the attractions in Khao Sok National Park. This surreal place is located north of Phang-Nga in the province Surat Thani and offers a breathtaking lake landscape with high limestone cliffs and one of the oldest rainforests in the world. Journey to Khao Sok
The natural paradise of Khao Sok is located 150 km north of Phuket and can be reached in around 2-3 hours by car. The nearest town is Khao Lak, from where it only takes an hour to reach the national park. The place is also easily accessible from Krabi within 2 hours. The cheapest way to get there is by bus (from Phuketª or from Bangkokª); there is no train connection. However, as the roads in Thailand are generally well developed, it is worth renting a car to explore the area at your own pace. Alternatively, Khao Sok can also be visited as part of a day tour (e.g. from Phuketª, Khao Lakª or Krabiª), with hotel transfers included. There is usually only an additional fee for the national park.
