Getting to Koh Chang
Koh Chang is an island in central Thailand and can therefore only be reached by ferry. The nearest airport is located in Trat on the mainland and is about a 40-60 minute flight from Bangkok. From there, continue to the ferry terminal Aow Thammachat. The car ferries to Koh Chang run every hour (between 06:30-19:00) and take about 30 minutes for the crossing. Excursions on Koh Chang
Koh Chang is like a mixture of wild jungle, waterfalls and long sandy beaches! In the west you will find the lively White Sand Beach or Klong Prao Beach with many restaurants and bars, while the south and east are quieter and more natural. The most beautiful waterfalls include Klong Plu and Than Mayom. The fishing village of Bang Bao is also well worth a visit and invites you to dine with a sea view in the evening. Surrounding small and larger islands such as Koh Mak and Koh Kood offer great opportunities for snorkeling, diving or kayaking!
