Hidden deep in the tropical forests in the east of Krabi is the famous Emerald Pool (locally known as Sa Morakot). This impressive natural pool is part of the Khao Phra Bang Khram Wildlife Sanctuary. From Krabi Town, it takes around an hour to reach the dreamlike oasis. From Ao Nang, it takes around one and a half hours.

Ao Nang is one of the most popular beach resorts in Thailand! Geographically, it is located in the province of Krabi, east of the Andaman Sea. Once known as a small fishing village, which lived mainly from the local fishing industry, it became increasingly characterized by tourism from the 1970s onwards. When the first resorts were built, Ao Nang developed into a top vacation destination in southern Thailand and is still a popular choice for travelers.

Anyone traveling to Thailand in November can enjoy a very special experience: The festival of lights Loy Krathong! It is one of the country's most famous festivals and is widely celebrated in all regions. In the north, it is also known as the Yi Peng Sky Lantern Festival. The festival of lights takes place every year on the evening of the twelfth full moon according to the Thai lunar calendar. This year it falls on November 05, 2025.

The shimmering turquoise Phi Leh Lagoon (also known as Pi Leh Bay) is an absolute dream location for snorkeling and swimming fans! You can visit it as part of a day trip from Koh Phi Phi and also make a stop at the beautiful Maya Bay, which is just opposite. The boat trip takes around 30 minutes. Snorkeling equipment is usually provided on board, so all you need to pack is swimwear and sunscreen!

The beautiful Maya Bay is located on the island of Koh Phi Phi Leh in the Andaman Sea and can only be reached by boat. From the main island of Koh Phi Phi Don, the crossing takes around 30 minutes and leads past impressive limestone cliffs across the turquoise blue sea until a picturesque open bay finally appears. At the turn of the millennium, this place became famous worldwide when the film „The Beach“ starring Leonardo DiCaprio was released in 2000.

The Pai My Guest Resort is a secluded accommodation near the rice fields! The accommodation is a 20-minute walk from the center of Pai (Walking Street). On the one hand, it offers a quiet place to stay and at the same time you are close to the hustle and bustle of the small, lively town center of Pai. Even the way to the resort is impressive with walking paths through the wide, idyllic rice fields, where you can watch Thai rice farmers at work.

The Big Buddha of Pai is an impressive Buddha statue that belongs to the Wat Phra That Mae Yen temple complex and was built on a hill outside of Pai. There is free parking on site and admission is also free. Donations for the preservation of the temple are appreciated but not required. From the parking lot, a steep staircase with over 300 steps leads up to the Big Buddha. In addition to the cultural insight, the excursion destination also offers a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain landscape of Pai.

The Kho Ku So Bamboo Bridge is a popular excursion destination near Pai, around 30 minutes by scooter from the center. The approximately 1 kilometer long bridge runs over idyllic rice fields and provides an interesting insight into the daily work of the local rice farmers. The bridge construction is made of woven bamboo material supported on natural wooden pillars.

Mae Salong Flower Hills (also known as DoiMok DokMai Resort) is a beautiful mountain resort in the north of Thailand! The highlight of this accommodation is the magnificent flower garden, which makes the place truly unique. The in-house café and the fresh green tea from the adjacent tea plantation also make your stay a special experience.

The Choui Fong tea plantation is located in the north of Thailand, just under an hour's drive from Chiang Rai. This picture-book location is a popular excursion destination for all nature and tea lovers and should not be missed on any tour of northern Thailand! Due to the altitude, the fields in the north are ideal for growing various types of tea such as green and black tea. With a cultivation area of over 1,000 rai (= 1.6 square kilometers), the Choui Fong plantation is one of the largest tea producers in the whole of Thailand.

Mistakenly known as the „Big Buddha of Chiang Rai“, Wat Huay Pla Kang embodies a giant statue of Guan Yin - the Chinese goddess of mercy; and is therefore not an image of Buddha. Behind the walk-in statue is a unique building concept of a temple that combines spirituality, purity and aesthetics. The temple is located about 8 kilometers outside the city center in a rural area. The respected monk Phra Ajarn Phob Chok had the impressive building erected on a hill in 2005. The 69-metre statue of Guan Yin (in Thai: „Chao Mae Kuan Im“) is easily recognizable in many places in and around Chiang Rai.

The 5-star hotel “The Continent” is located in the heart of Asok - one of the most modern districts in Bangkok! It is very centrally located on a main street and right next to the BTS station of the same name. Right next to it are the large modern malls Terminal 21 and the newly opened EmSphere. Asok is a popular entertainment district, especially for tourists, with many bars, clubs, restaurants, shopping opportunities and the beautiful Benjakitti Park right in the middle. The best place to party is in the area around Sukhumvit Soi 11 or in the club “Levels”. If you want to get a more revealing insight into Bangkok's nightlife, you should visit Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza (women are also welcome here!). As Asok is a very lively district, you will also find many cabs or tuk-tuks right outside the hotel that will quickly take you to another place in Bangkok.
