Suuko Wellness & Spa Resort

The 4-star "Suuko Wellness & Spa Resort" is a hidden jungle resort in Chalong, south of Phuket and only a few minutes' drive from Phuket Town.

Location and surroundings

Even though the resort is very quiet and natural, it is located directly on a busy main road. We therefore recommend hiring a scooter or car, as there are no paved footpaths. Right next to the resort is the beautiful WeCafewhich we visited very often. Larger supermarkets and numerous restaurants are also just a short distance away. If you are a fan of Muay Thai, you will also feel very comfortable in the "Soi Ta-iad" street - there are plenty of sports facilities here and also a large selection of restaurants and some bars. The best excursion destinations in the vicinity are the Big Buddha, Wat Chalong and Phuket Old Town.

Hotel and room categories

The resort is like its own little village with spacious villas that are perfectly integrated into the jungle setting! There is a shuttle service and a 24-hour security service, which makes you feel completely safe here. The beautiful pool with water loungers and traditional Thai water fountains invites you to relax during the day. As it is a wellness hotel, there is also a spa area and a wide range of massages, which can also be carried out in your own villa on request. Breakfast was à la carte and very plentiful! However, we were there in the low season, which is why there may also be a buffet in the high season.

We particularly liked our jungle villa, which is why we extended our stay twice! On a spacious 75 square meters, there is a large bedroom with balcony access, a study or living room with couch and desk, an XXL shower with rain shower, which is literally installed in a glass roof, an additional small bathroom and then our absolute highlight: a huge whirlpool bathtub! Another surprise was the TV, which you can turn 180 degrees between the bed and the bathtub - very, very cool!

The staff were super friendly and accommodating throughout, so we can only warmly recommend this place!

Tip:: The porridge for breakfast was incredibly delicious 🙂

L'Esprit De Naiyang Beach Resort 1 | Hotel recommendations Phuket
L'esprit de Naiyang Beach Resort
The pretty "L'esprit de Naiyang Beach Resort" is located in the north of Phuket, just a few minutes' drive from the airport. The resort is a little out of the way, which is why a scooter or rental car is highly recommended for the duration of your stay. It is also not directly on the beach, but you have the option of being taken to the beach on the hotel's own raft shuttle across the river - this was truly unique and something we have never experienced before! You can use this service all day long and simply contact the staff via WhatsApp. There are numerous beach restaurants on the beach with wonderful views of the sea. On the promenade you will find more restaurants, mini stores and inexpensive Thai massages.
Loyfa-Holina Natural Resort 6 | Hotel recommendations Koh Phangan
Loyfa-Holina Natural Resort
The "Loyfa-Holina Natural Resort" is a quiet accommodation in the northwest of the island and offers different room categories (e.g. garden or pool villas, suites with sea view, beach cottages). We opted for a cottage on the beach and were really impressed. Although it is a little small, it is very cozy and every morning we were greeted with a beautiful sunrise! The hotel's own beach is unfortunately less beautiful and very rocky, but the popular Zen Beach is only a few minutes away. We recommend renting a scooter so that you are always mobile and flexible. You will also find numerous restaurants, street food and mini markets on nearby Hin Kong Road.
Mae Salong Flower Hills Resort 23a | Hotel recommendations Chiang Rai
Mae Salong Flower Hills
Mae Salong Flower Hills (also known as DoiMok DokMai Resort) is a beautiful mountain resort in the north of Thailand! The highlight of this accommodation is the magnificent flower garden, which makes the place truly unique. The in-house café and the fresh green tea from the adjacent tea plantation also make your stay a special experience.
la Cigale 1 | Hotel recommendations Koh Tao
la Cigale
la Cigale" is a hidden paradise in the middle of the jungle of Koh Tao. We found this place purely by chance and were more than thrilled! The host Andrew and his wife have lived on the island for many years and have built three villas of their own, whose style blends harmoniously into the natural surroundings and rock formations. Each villa is truly unique, with some rooms being completely outside, such as the bathroom. But who wouldn't want to shower in the open air? It is still very private and secluded. We spent 3 days in the villa "Baan Suan" & can highly recommend it.
Koh Tao Cabana Resort 1 | Hotel recommendations Koh Tao
Koh Tao Cabana
The pretty "Koh Tao Cabana" hotel is located directly on Sairee Beach with its own stretch of beach. Here you can relax on the white sand or hire free snorkeling equipment and stand-up paddle boards. The nearest town is just a 10-minute walk away, where you will find many bars, restaurants and supermarkets. There are many individual rooms, including a sunset villa, a tree house cottage and several pool villas. All rooms are designed in a natural style with great attention to detail. This hotel is the perfect choice for a long-awaited annual vacation or honeymoon! Tip: cab boats are available directly on Sairee Beach during the day to take you to the surrounding beaches, such as Shark Bay or Koh Nang Yuan.
Pai My Guest Resort 4 | Hotel recommendations Pai
Pai My Guest Resort
The Pai My Guest Resort is a secluded accommodation near the rice fields! The accommodation is a 20-minute walk from the center of Pai (Walking Street). On the one hand, it offers a quiet place to stay and at the same time you are close to the hustle and bustle of the small, lively town center of Pai. Even the way to the resort is impressive with walking paths through the wide, idyllic rice fields, where you can watch Thai rice farmers at work.
Phangan Bayshore Resort - official 1 | Hotel recommendations Koh Phangan
Phangan Bayshore Resort
The pretty "Phangan Bayshore Resort" is located directly on Haad Rin's Sunrise Beach. For party people, it has the advantage of being right on the Full Moon party mile. The resort is very close to nature and has a modern design, a large pool and cozy superior rooms with a terrace. We felt very comfortable here and also got to know and love the small village of Haad Rin. In the small streets you will find numerous shopping venues, restaurants and bars. The beach is very clean and spacious.
The Continent Asok 4 | Hotel recommendations Bangkok
The Continent
The 5-star hotel “The Continent” is located in the heart of Asok - one of the most modern districts in Bangkok! It is very centrally located on a main street and right next to the BTS station of the same name. Right next to it are the large modern malls Terminal 21 and the newly opened EmSphere. Asok is a popular entertainment district, especially for tourists, with many bars, clubs, restaurants, shopping opportunities and the beautiful Benjakitti Park right in the middle. The best place to party is in the area around Sukhumvit Soi 11 or in the club “Levels”. If you want to get a more revealing insight into Bangkok's nightlife, you should visit Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza (women are also welcome here!). As Asok is a very lively district, you will also find many cabs or tuk-tuks right outside the hotel that will quickly take you to another place in Bangkok.
