Pai My Guest Resort
The Pai My Guest Resort is a secluded accommodation near the rice fields!
Location and surroundings
The accommodation is a 20-minute walk from the center of Pai (Walking Street). It thus offers on the one hand a Quiet overnight accommodation and at the same time you are close to the action in the small, lively town center of Pai. Even the way to the resort impresses with Walks through the wide idyllic rice fields, on which you can enjoy Thai Rice farmer at work.
For the journey we recommend a Scooter, as the roads outside the center are in poor condition, have many potholes and are sometimes too narrow for cars. You can rent a scooter at many places in Pai - we rented ours at „Dragonfly Pai“ rented. For a Honda PCX we paid 400 Baht for two days (= 200 Baht per day) plus 4,000 baht as a deposit, which we got back after handing it in.
Tip: - Rent a scooterYou can always negotiate the price and don't necessarily have to pay what is written on the sign outside. The Thais are often willing to pay a more favorable price e.g. for longer rental periods or for models that are in a worse condition than others. In addition, you should always Photos/videos of the scooter in order to fend off any subsequent allegations of defects.

Hotel and room categories
At the Pai My Guest Resort there are exclusively bungalows, which look more or less the same and have similar furnishings. The only difference is the location and view. For example, there is a simple 1-room bungalow with garden view, which is the cheapest at 900 baht (≈ 23 euros) per night. A superior bungalow with a river view costs 1,100 baht (≈ 28 euros) per night. The most expensive is a family bungalow for 4 people with a garden view for 2,000 baht (≈ 52 euros) per night. Compared to German prices, this is of course still very reasonable.
NoteThe above prices are unfortunately only bookable at the resort, which is why it would be worth booking only 1-2 nights and extending your stay on site (provided the huts are not fully booked - unfortunately a certain risk, but possibly a good tip for spontaneous backpackers!) In general, most hotels in Thailand offer significantly lower prices at reception than on the well-known booking portals. Online, room prices start at 30 euros per night.
