Bottle Beach Viewpoint
Probably the most beautiful viewpoint on the island is located next to the beach of the same name, Bottle Beach. We recommend arriving by scooter. You can park it at the bottom of the path and hike up on foot. It takes about 20 minutes through forests and rocky terrain. At the top, you will reach a viewpoint consisting of gigantic rocks. It takes some courage and climbing skills to climb to the top, but the view is worth it! From here you have a fantastic view over the north coast of Koh Phangan.
Zen Beach 2 | Sights on Koh Phangan
Zen Beach
Zen Beach is very popular with locals and expats alike! It is located somewhat secluded in the northwest of Koh Phangan and is best reached by scooter. During the day, the white sandy beach is the perfect place to relax and swim, while in the evening it gets really lively and attracts many people who enjoy the sunset together and dance exuberantly in the sand. There are a few bars, seating areas and shady spots on site.
Hin Kong Bay | Places of interest on Koh Phangan
Hin Kong sandbank
Hin Kong is located in the north-west of the island and is not very appealing at first glance. Only at low tide does this beach become a real highlight. As soon as the water recedes, a long walkable sandbank remains, where you can take a romantic stroll into the sunset. Dog owners also enjoy walking their dogs on the beach here. Locals, on the other hand, take the opportunity to collect a few mussels and crabs on the spot. There are several restaurants and beach bars on the shore with a perfect view of the sea.
Bottle Beach | Places of interest on Koh Phangan
Bottle Beach
Bottle Beach is a beautiful secluded beach in the north of Koh Phangan. You can reach it either by cab boat, after a 30-minute hike or by shuttle for 200 baht per person one way. The path is challenging, but doable. Once at the bottom, you will find a few restaurants and accommodation. The entire stretch of beach is very clean and quiet, but rocky in places, which is why water shoes are recommended. Tip: If you are in this area, you should definitely plan a visit to Bottle Beach Viewpoint beforehand!
2C Bar 1 | Sights on Koh Phangan
2C Bar
The 2C Bar is located on the east coast of Koh Phangan - from here you have a wonderful view of the two bays Thong Nai Pan Noi and Thong Nai Pan Yai! The menu includes delicious smoothies, snacks, healthy salads and cocktails, which you can enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere with a panoramic view of the sea. Entry to the bar is free. Food and drinks cost around 200-300 THB per person. We were particularly fascinated by the view of the mountains, as this once again makes it clear how beautiful the landscape on Koh Phangan really is! Unfortunately, many mountainous regions are not accessible by scooter as there are only a few roads on the island, but you can still enjoy the view from this place!
Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach | Places of interest on Koh Phangan
Thong Nai Pan Beach
Thong Nai Pan Beach consists of two sister bays and is located on the east coast of Koh Phangan. The southern Pan Yai Beach is one of our favorite beaches on the island! Shallow water, fine long sandy beach and turquoise shallow sea. The place is far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and also offers a few beach bars and shady spots. You can go swimming, kayaking or jet skiing on site. The upper bay of Pan Noi is a little livelier, especially in high season. However, both places have their very own charm. If you prefer things a little quieter, the southern bay is the place for you. Tip: the nearby 2C Bar offers a super nice view of both beaches!
Than Sadet National Park | Places of interest on Koh Phangan
Than Sadet National Park
Than Sadet National Park is located in the east of Koh Phangan, which you can explore for a fee of 100 baht (approx. 2.50 euros). It consists of dense jungle, large rock formations and clear rivers. The park is famous for the historic Than Sadet waterfall, which was once visited by King Rama V, who immortalized his inscriptions in the rock. Unfortunately, the waterfall is very dry, almost parched, especially in the high season - which is why bathing is not always possible. Nevertheless, the nature and the large rocks are very impressive. At the foot of the national park, you can visit Haad Sadet Beach.

Hide on High Bar
The "Hide on High" bar is a hidden gem in Than Sadet National Park in the east of Koh Phangan. The climb up is not easy, especially with the scooter it was a real adventure ride, but it really pays off in the end! Once at the top, you meet a friendly Thai man who lives on the upper floor of the bar and prepares delicious cocktails and snicker smoothies for you. Entry is free, but out of courtesy you should at least order a drink (the average cost is around 100-200 THB per person). You can then enjoy the sunset while listening to cozy ragga music and just let your mind wander!
Full Moon Party | Sightseeing on Koh Phangan
Full Moon Party
The Full Moon Party has been celebrated on the small island since the 1980s and is now known worldwide! In Haad Rin, a small village in the south of Koh Phangan, a legendary beach party takes place once a month on the night of the full moon. Tens of thousands of people from the surrounding islands come together to party to electronic music until dawn. The festival is best known for its fire shows, colorful lights, buckets and neon colors. But even if it is mostly harmonious, you should always look out for each other, as unpleasant things can happen amidst the gallons of alcohol. Tip: If you book a hotel on the beach, admission is usually included, otherwise there is a charge of 200 THB (approx. 5 euros) per person.

Incidentally, the famous beach club "Koh Raham" is not far away - you should definitely make a stop here!
