King Power Mahanakhon (Skywalk)
The King Power Mahanakhon is a must-see in Bangkok! The 314-metre-high skyscraper stands out from afar with its Tetris-like shape, which sets it apart from all other skyscrapers in Bangkok. In addition to hotel rooms and stores, the reflective building also has a fascinating 360-degree viewing platform on the 78th floor. A glass floor (= skywalk) has also been built, above which you can walk freely and the world below you suddenly becomes very small! Cars and people look like tiny toy figures from this height - definitely not for people with a fear of heights. Other attractions in the building include a Rooftop Bar, various Restaurants and a immersive SkyRidewith which you can fly through a virtual world as a paraglider. Another activity was added in May 2025: I-TILT - a vertical net that you can lean into and then slowly tilt forward at a 65° angle over the outer edge of the building. At the end, you'll be hovering 296 meters above the streets of Bangkok - also not for the faint-hearted!
Our highlight was the Mahanakhon Skywalk! A floor made entirely of glass, built at a height of 310 meters. Before you enter this area, you must put disposable shoe covers on your shoes as the glass surface is very sensitive. Loose objects such as cell phones are also not allowed in this area - so if you want to take great souvenir photos, you can either take turns or ask an outside person to take a photo of you. However, as everyone wants a photo here, it's more or less self-regulating 🙂
Tip: on Klookª the Skywalk tickets are cheaper than on the official website!
