Koh Tao is an island in the Samui archipelago, in the province of Surat Thani. It does not have its own airport, which is why it can only be reached by ferry. We'll show you two options for planning your journey to Koh Tao. Depending on where you start, you can either take a domestic flight to Koh Samui or Chumphon and then take the ferry from there to Koh Tao. Or you can choose not to fly. Thailand has a well-developed road network and inexpensive means of transportation.
